Getting Started
How to Upload an Image
1. Click the "Upload Image" button in the top right corner of the homepage.
2. Select an image file from your computer (supported formats: JPG, PNG, WEBP, GIF, TIFF).
3. Alternatively, you can drag and drop an image directly into the upload area.
4. Once uploaded, the image will appear in the preview area, and you can start editing.
Understanding the Interface
The ImagePro interface is divided into three main sections:
- Tools Sidebar (Left): Contains all the editing tools and templates.
- Preview Area (Center): Shows the image being edited.
- Controls Panel (Right): Contains options and settings for the selected tool.
Use the tools in the sidebar to select different editing functions, and use the controls panel to adjust settings for each tool.
Editing Tools
Crop Tool
The Crop tool allows you to trim unwanted parts of your image.
How to use:
- Select the "Crop" tool from the sidebar.
- Choose an aspect ratio from the controls panel (or select "Free" for custom aspect ratio).
- Drag the corners of the crop box to adjust the area you want to keep.
- Click "Apply" to crop the image, or "Cancel" to discard changes.
Tip: Hold down the Shift key while dragging to maintain the aspect ratio.
Resize Tool
The Resize tool allows you to change the dimensions of your image.
How to use:
- Select the "Resize" tool from the sidebar.
- Enter the desired width and height in the controls panel.
- Check the "Maintain aspect ratio" box to keep the image proportions (recommended).
- Click "Apply" to resize the image, or "Cancel" to discard changes.
Tip: If you maintain the aspect ratio, changing either width or height will automatically adjust the other dimension.
Rotate Tool
The Rotate tool allows you to rotate or flip your image.
How to use:
- Select the "Rotate" tool from the sidebar.
- Use the buttons in the controls panel to:
- Rotate left (counterclockwise)
- Rotate right (clockwise)
- Flip horizontally (mirror)
- Flip vertically (upside down)
- Click "Apply" to save changes, or "Cancel" to discard them.
Filter Tool
The Filter tool allows you to apply preset filters and adjust image properties like brightness, contrast, and saturation.
How to use:
- Select the "Filter" tool from the sidebar.
- Choose a preset filter from the grid (None, Grayscale, Sepia, Invert, Brightness, Contrast).
- Adjust the sliders in the controls panel to fine-tune:
- Brightness (0-200%)
- Contrast (0-200%)
- Saturation (0-200%)
- Click "Apply" to save changes, or "Cancel" to discard them.
Tip: The preview updates in real-time as you adjust the sliders, so you can see the effect before applying.
Watermark Tool
The Watermark tool allows you to add text or image watermarks to your images.
How to use:
- Select the "Watermark" tool from the sidebar.
- Choose between "Text" or "Image" watermark type.
- For text watermarks:
- Enter your watermark text
- Select a font, font size, and color
- Adjust the opacity (0-100%)
- For image watermarks:
- Upload an image file
- Adjust the opacity (0-100%)
- Adjust the size (10-100%)
- Choose a position for the watermark from the grid.
- Click "Apply" to add the watermark, or "Cancel" to discard changes.
Remove Watermark Tool
The Remove Watermark tool allows you to remove existing watermarks or unwanted objects from your images.
How to use:
- Select the "Remove Watermark" tool from the sidebar.
- Use the brush tool to paint over the watermark or object you want to remove.
- Adjust the brush size as needed.
- Click "Apply" to remove the watermark, or "Cancel" to discard changes.
Note: The effectiveness of watermark removal depends on the complexity of the image and the watermark. For best results, use this tool on simple backgrounds.
Compress Tool
The Compress tool allows you to reduce the file size of your images without significant quality loss.
How to use:
- Select the "Compress" tool from the sidebar.
- Adjust the compression level slider (0-100%).
- Choose an output format (JPEG, PNG, or WebP).
- Adjust format-specific settings:
- JPEG: Quality (0-100%)
- PNG: Compression Level (0-9)
- WebP: Quality (0-100%)
- Check the estimated result to see the expected file size and savings.
- Click "Apply" to compress the image, or "Cancel" to discard changes.
Tip: WebP format generally provides better compression than JPEG or PNG with similar quality.
Templates
Using Templates
Templates are pre-defined image dimensions optimized for specific platforms and uses.
How to use:
- Select a template category from the sidebar:
- Social Media
- Marketing
- E-commerce
- Documents
- Creative
- Browse the available templates in the controls panel.
- Click on a template to select it.
- Click "Apply" to resize your image to the template dimensions.
Tip: After applying a template, you can use the crop tool to adjust how your image fits within the template dimensions.
Social Media Templates
Social media templates are optimized for popular platforms:
- Facebook: Cover (820x312px), Post (1200x630px)
- Instagram: Post (1080x1080px), Story (1080x1920px)
- Twitter: Header (1500x500px), Post (1024x512px)
- LinkedIn: Cover (1536x768px), Post (1200x627px)
- YouTube: Thumbnail (1280x720px)
- Pinterest: Pin (1000x1500px)
- Snapchat: Story (1080x1920px)
- TikTok: Video (1080x1920px)
- Telegram: Post (800x450px)
Export & Save
Downloading Your Image
After editing your image, you can download it to your computer.
How to download:
- Click the "Download" button in the top right corner of the editing interface.
- Choose a format (JPEG, PNG, or WebP).
- Adjust format-specific settings:
- JPEG: Quality (0-100%)
- PNG: Compression Level (0-9)
- WebP: Quality (0-100%)
- Click "Download" to save the image to your computer.
Format Comparison
Choose the right format for your needs:
- JPEG: Best for photos and images with many colors. Supports compression but not transparency.
- PNG: Best for images with transparency or sharp edges (like logos). Supports lossless compression.
- WebP: Modern format that provides better compression than JPEG or PNG. Supported by most modern browsers.
Troubleshooting
Common Issues
Image won't upload
- Check that the file size is not too large (maximum 50MB)
- Verify that the file format is supported (JPG, PNG, WEBP, GIF, TIFF)
- Try using a different browser
- Clear your browser cache
Editing tools not working
- Make sure you have uploaded an image first
- Try refreshing the page
- Check that your browser is up to date
- Try using a different browser (Chrome, Firefox, Edge, Safari)
Image quality issues after editing
- Avoid resizing images to be larger than their original dimensions
- Use lower compression levels for better quality
- Choose the appropriate format (PNG for graphics, JPEG for photos)
- When cropping, try to keep as much of the original image as possible
Watermark removal not working
- Try adjusting the brush size
- For complex backgrounds, try using a smaller brush
- Multiple passes may be needed for best results
- Note that some watermarks may be impossible to remove completely
